Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University was founded in 2015 and is situated in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh. It is the biggest university in the state of MP in terms of area and number of students enrolling in the University. Over 200+ colleges are affiliated across the Bundelkhand Region. It is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), AICTE, and AIU. It offers diverse UG and PG courses across Science, Arts, Management, and Marketing and follows the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines.

The students have to secure at least a minimum of 55 % of marks in their 12th from any decent recognised board. Applicants must have fulfilled the criteria for UG course admission. Applicants must pass an entrance exam for a particular course. The students will be selected based on their ranks in the qualifying exams. For bachelor’s courses such as BBA, B.Com, BSc in Chemistry, BA in English, and others. Applicants must have obtained valid marks in the entrance test administered by the MCBU. - BA (English, philosophy, etc.): Students have to complete the 12th class from the recognised board with at least a 50 per cent score. Selection will be based on the merit score and the entrance exam.
- B.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Etc): Applicants must have a Class 10 + 2 certificate from a recognised state or central board. The applicant must have selected Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics.
